You cannot afford the wrong response to pressurised situations, especially when it comes to 'live' situations in your organisation.

Get your staff on the CUP course. Yes, it's a new course we're offering and it's a lot of fun in a pressurised environment.

What happens?

  1. A 'daft laddie' speaks for 10 minutes about nothing much, but offering a number of clues.
  2. The teams are given their objective: cook this recipe before 13H00
  3. The teams have to then xxxx?
  4. Find equipment.
  5. Go to market and purchase ingredients with a budget.
  6. Prepare the ingredients.
  7. Cook the ingredients.
  8. Taste and judge the best meal - after all this is lunch!
  9. Learn how to cope with disappointment.
  10. Argue - Everyone - Big time!
  11. Cerebral games - Winning team get the prize.
  12. Self assessment.
  13. Feedback forms completed.
  14. Outdoor games and entertainment for the afternoon and everyone back to office by 17H30PM.

Have you seen how effective celebrity chefs are at getting people to perform in a pressurised environment? Or not!

Can anyone cook? If they have a recipe in front of them and all they need to do is follow 12 easy processes....can everyone cook? What happens when the real world starts interfering with your cooking?
